The Donkey, a free standing piece of furniture with great portability and capable of holding the essential items for its environment. My design is a unique Donkey that would sit comfortably in the centre of any living room, storing everything from DVD’s and a laptop to books and newspapers, whilst utilising the flat top surface as a perfect place for a cup of tea.
This donkey is distinctive, the angular forms allow the user to effortlessly view the contents being offered up to them from whichever side. The four separate internal storage areas also allow the user to be versatile in what they wish to store, not just living room essentials. The use of Plywood allows the end grain to accentuate the eye catching angularity. The dimensions are of a similar ‘cute’ size to the three other original donkeys produced by Isokon, allowing this to fit brilliantly in line with other small compact storage units on the market.
